School Account Manager I
Reports to: School Account Team Manager
Department: School Account Team
Who are We?
My Hot Lunchbox is a small but ambitious company set for substantial growth over the next five years. We are a service and software company that helps schools across the country provide daily lunches to their students and staff. We partner with restaurants within the school communities we serve. We are passionate about positively impacting the lives of families and school communities by providing a full-service lunch solution that saves time and money. As we expand, we seek a Chief Operating Officer who shares our values and vision to join our leadership team.
What Do We Do?
My Hot Lunchbox is a quick and easy lunch solution that offers a variety of delicious meals, delivered right to schools and camps. We give parents a break from the monotony of packing lunch for their kids daily by partnering with popular restaurants students already know and love!
What Is Our Mission?
Offering high-quality lunches to students and staff, by building relationships with community partners through integrity and innovation.
How Do We Operate?
- With Operational Excellence: Efficient, streamlined, and effective internal processes. Reducing costs and waste while maintaining quality.
- With Grit: Do whatever is in your power to find a resolution – take ownership, be resourceful, and dig deep.
- With Customer Obsession: Be responsive, period.
- The Ecosystem: Recruit, train, develop, and retain talent, vendors, schools, and customers.

- With Execution: Deliver the right food, quality, and quantity at the right time and location.
Who Are We Looking For?
Are you ready to be the first point of contact for our school partners—managing day-to-day communication, supporting account growth, and ensuring issues are quickly resolved/escalated to the right team? Do you enjoy fostering relationships and helping customers resolve issues and problem-solve? If so, then this Account Management position is for you!
Our ideal Account Manager I is:
- Relational. You build trust quickly and read the room well. You listen first, understand context, and communicate in a way that helps schools feel supported rather than managed. You’re approachable, collaborative, and the kind of person both teammates and clients naturally rely on.
- Organized. You manage your workload with intention. You keep moving pieces straight, anticipate what’s coming next, and guide projects from start to finish without losing momentum. You take ownership, follow through, and bring a steady sense of order to your accounts.
- Creative. You bring curiosity and fresh thinking to your work. Whether it’s reframing a client challenge, troubleshooting an operational gap, or finding a more elegant way to communicate information, you don’t default to “the way we’ve always done it.” You look for smart, simple improvements that help schools feel the difference.
- Efficiency-minded. You appreciate clean processes and understand that operational discipline directly shapes client experience. You look for opportunities to streamline, automate, and reduce friction for schools and for internal teams.
- Trustworthy. You do what you say you’ll do. You show professionalism under pressure, handle sensitive issues with care, and take responsibility for your clients’ success. Your consistency builds confidence.
